With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, and me being the identified Metroid fan in the house, my husband asked if I wanted to play all the Prime games ahead of release. He's not a good spectator, so I asked why not him? He said he likes to watch me play/do things I like.

One of the few things I enjoy at the State Fair of Texas is the Creative Arts building. And all the funky things on display. There's so much more but these are the ones I captured this year. Oh. And the butter sculpture.

Successfully completed a bunch of errands and tasks yesterday. I did get approached alone in a Walmart for some money to buy household goods tho. Washing powder. I have some money to the man. But I was reminded of all the other times I've been hustled. I hope he was genuinely in need.

Thanks for MTGxFF spoilers, I had to look up some stuff about FFXIII. But then it didn't make sense out of context, so I had to look up FFXIII the movie on Youtube. I thumbed through it and then had to share it with my husband.

These MTGxFF cards are so cool. There are so many cool references in the art pieces. One of my favorites is Stitch Together, telling the story of Shadow. Or Coin of Fate, showing Edgar's double-headed coin. Talisman of Conviction. Big Score. Love it.

Finished Onyx Storm. It's pretty weak but I'm still enjoying myself. This is popcorn reading. Reminds me of a great fanfic that adds more lore and stuff.

Finished The Night Circus last night and I gotta say... it got better as things started to come together, but it wasn't enough for me to enjoy it. I gave it 2/5 stars, but I started on 3/5, so I guess final verdict is 2.5/5 stars.

Went shopping today. Kept trying to direct my husband to new clothes. Instead we ended up with art books, MegaTokyo 3+4, On Writing by Stephen King, and a Chris Colfer book.
