Me too. Cycling in the Region for over 40 years and I’m grateful to the City of Victoria for their vision and for actually building that vision. Meanwhile in Oak Bay, in spite of my lobbying for 25 years we still have just one continuous bike lane. Vision and leadership desperately needed.

Absolutely cycling infrastructure makes a difference. Been cycling in Victoria for 40 years. Sure notice the ease of the bike lanes AND the fact there are many more cyclists using them than when there were no bike lanes.

Happy festive to you too! And here is to some SUCCESS in advocating for a less car centric world, or at least in the neighbourhood.

Wow. For real?? Did he really post that?? Unbelievable.

Kinda confirms my view point which is that AI can not be trusted.

Agreed. There are still a few bumps but overall .. WOW! What a difference. This kind of cycling infrastructure is just a dream for those of us who live in Oak Bay. Council, or at least half of council, just doesn’t support it and either vote against it or vote to delay it.

Agreed. The results do speak to a failure of leadership. And it’s not the only example where community input has been set aside. Frankly, there are too many examples. Such action greatly diminishes the credibility of council and discourages residents from getting involved.

What the hell?? WHAT was he being detained for?

The bike loops don’t look easy to get to. What’s the point of having them if you can’t get to them. Weird.

Wow. America is just weird to have elected an administration like that and then put up with it.
