They replace parking for a car with safe storage for multiple bicycles, thus making cycling an option for many more people. @cyclehoop.bsky.social has done a great job with these in multiple places in the UK, but so far @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social seems opposed. Elsewhere,meanwhile....
