i'm also seeing games on the front page of the sale that explicitly breaks the stated eligibility rules, e.g. a horse sim where you play as the human trainer rather than the horses. i'm not sure valve is actually vetting games for these themed sales all that closely

i didn't submit slarpg for the steam animal fest because the eligibility rules said no "humanoid/humanized animals" and i assumed that meant no furries, but there's a bunch of furry games starring humanoid animal people in the event anyway. what the fuck

🦝finished the MVP for our pico8 nonogram game with exactly one puzzle and, according to player feedback, the puzzle Fucking Sucks LOL everyone got stuck in the same spot so uh, we got a lot to learn
