Fuuuck it's actually peak. Genuinely one of the best modern survival horror games I've played... at least for a while. The item balance gets too generous later on and game is just too long. Actually scary a lot of the time which is rare for me to say. The story is... intact.

VERY underrated gem! I genuinely can't remember the last time I played a game where the core gameplay felt this fun so consistently. Even the most cinematic of modern AAA games don't feel as cool as a basic fight against a random goon in this game. Try it out if you have the means.

uhh this version kinda sucks ngl. The new visuals are actually pretty nice but it's so much buggier than the original. I've also heard the multiplayer got rebalanced in a way that isn't very fun. Gears 1 is already not my favorite, this version doesn't do it any favors.

Oof. There’s parts of it I like, mostly mechanically, but man this is just not a good story. It wants you to take it seriously but feels incapable of doing the same, and just comes off as obnoxious the whole time. Also there’s too many legendaries, like the balance is completely off.

Ok I knew the movie was gonna be pretty good, but I’m still surprised by how much I liked it. I think seeing this in theaters helped a lot, because the scale of the movie and ESPECIALLY the soundtrack really benefit from it. I genuinely really liked it a lot.
