The controversy over Balatro's European rating reminds me of our Intellivision, which arrived at our suburban Toronto house in 1982 bundled with "Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack" Atari had Combat, Colecovision had Donkey Kong but Mattel's console had a casino simulator.

I am liking a lot of the gaming posts on BlueSky so far. I wish I could weigh in on the Game of the Year debates, but my 2024 has been dominated by resurrecting years-old God of War Ragnarok and Red Dead Redemption II saves and playing Marvel Puzzle Quest while waiting for the bus.
