It’s quite extraordinary what’s happened to my Bandcamp sales since coming off the streamers. Since Jan 1st I’ve sold the equivalent of 180,000 streams on Spotify. In just over a week. I’d implore any indie artist or label to consider doing the same.

If artist organisations, music publications, and blogs - the lifeblood of new music, stopped using Spotify for playlists / links it would be a hell of a lot easier for artists to leave the platform. I'm no Spotify fan but some unity in the community is the way forward.

Since I took my music off Spotify, the money earned on Bandcamp is the equivalent to 550,000 streams. It has allowed me to be in direct contact to the people that support my art & music. I’m so grateful for it.

I've i'd had a penny every time someone asked me why did I take my music off Spotify - I would have made considerable more money than having my music on there.

Had this app for a while. My timeline is full of art, nature & ornithology. Lots of pictures of birds, sunrises, it’s a cleanser. It looks more & more like old Twitter this week with so many people getting off that hellscape. Hope this one’s skies can remain clear & blue for a good while longer.
