I find the idea that anyone could find depth in this adaptation alarming. I could find more depth in a puddle on the street. Projection. You can’t just project onto an empty movie and call the movie great. Oh I hated it. Oh I hated it. A day later I hate it more than I did yesterday.

disappointing to see someone I respect aim for exactly the themes I most love in the book & fundamentally miss the point and misrepresent them. It’s one thing to not make a faithful adaptation but to explore smth new, it’s another to attempt to nail original themes by stripping the story for parts

The one thing I will say is I’m so sorry for doubting Jacob Elordi he is really giving an incredible Adam. Incredible.

…oh it’s my favorite. Chronic and terminal illness is so vile and disgusting that a character is willing to commit gross acts of entitlement and violence to avoid it. Yeah. Bc that’s famously what disability and illness does to you. What are we doing. What are we doing

my kingdom for an adaptation that actually has anything to do with the core themes and dynamics of the book. Either of the versions at this point.

Why does every font look like it’s the ugliest thing you’ve ever seen when you need to pick one. What happens to the fonts you usually like that they become so ugly suddenly. I’m not hand writing all these headers. My handwriting is abysmal* it can’t possibly be the best font for the job
