47 calling in the DCNG is 4 and a half years too late.

Heading into NYC for a live shot, and this is the sign on one of the overpasses

I hope America is as lucky as the upside down Delta jet. Everyone survives, but the right wing explodes.

May have a snow day. Trying to decide between turning a pen or turning crochet hooks. Have a couple of nice blanks to use with either.

Hi Bluesky! Glad to be here.

Finished! Finally! Not fond of the maker of this pen kit; likely not reordering more of this style.

I've been working off and on to complete a trio of pens. So many setbacks, so many challenges, and despite the cold from hell that is making me barely functional, I got a couple of hours in the shop tonight and should finish tomorrow.

I love purple and blue colored hair because it’s a strong likelihood that person is not a fascist simp who sucks farts from billionaire buttholes.

Bought this 1980s era Waterman. Very smooth but ink flows faster than I linked in a M nib pen. The cherry marbling is pretty to look at.

3/3. Woe to those who attempt to withhold the proper tribute and respect. You will be bombarded with barks, yips, and nips until you comply. Lean into it, it'll go faster. 🐶

2/3. Their names were Merlyn, Crowley, and "Nipper." The third was not really named Nipper, but when he nips my fingers to demand skritches and pets, names go out of my head to be replaced by things like, "What's his name? That one who always nips at my fingers! Nipper! Yeah, that's the one!"

1/3. I was attacked by a pack of dogs this afternoon! Soooo many dogs! Well, there were three and they were together so that makes them a pack! And more than one. Or a pair. A mess of doggos? Hmm. Where was I? Oh! Right!

Finished up a pen, going to work on three others today. All are Western themed, two are going to be with Cocobolo wood, the last with a black bog wood.

Excited for this!

Have you been to Brookings' Azalea Park?

Both cigar style pens are from the same pour as the one used for the recent Dragon pen I shared. I just love the swirls and sparkles with unexpected flecks of gold. Pictures just don't do either justice.

Better pictures tomorrow. The blanks are from the same batch as the recent Dragon pen.

Usually, a tree is topped with an Angel or a Star.

Stone the Gargoyle decided he is both.

Fresh off the lathe tonight. I had the blank for years and finally got the right kit to use it on.

Blue Chrome Cigar Pen fresh off the lathe tonight. It is more stunning than I thought it would be.

After finishing up the dragon pen, I'm in the process of knocking out 4 "Cigar" pens. Two will be using blanks from the same batch at the dragon, one from a blank I made ages ago, one I was gifted as a pen blank swap exchange.

UGH...Superglue and quick curing spray can leave one with a headache.

Learned something new today!

When you buy a new lathe which has a forward and reverse, it's much easier to make a pen when it is going the correct direction. (I will not admit to how long it took this old Harbor Freight lathe user to realize this!) 😂🤣😂
