Christmas breakfast, starter and main. Will we make it to dessert and cheese? I've had the Christmas pudding and panettone in the cupboard since, at least, last Christmas so it would be good if we could squeeze it in somewhere!!

Feeling smug as I've finally planted up all my spring bulbs and I can have an afternoon of lounging. 🤣
The patio is a mess but those tubs are filled with hope for a colourful spring. 😍

The tree is going to have to wait a while this year! Pol is still settling in and I feel that a Christmas tree full of decorations would be too tempting for her... so I've sourced a mini one to go on top of our cabinet. Which means I need to move all my plants...😱 which they are not going to like!

Took Polly to The Old Workshop in Kelham Island and they made her a chicken dinner...🥹

Went to Bench last night. Food was excellent, as always. Particularly enjoyed the Dahl and the perfectly cooked roast potatoes. Didn't drink, which is a bit mad as they have very very good wine and cocktails. But did have L'Antidote which is a new favourite AF drink for me. Woke up feeling 👌👌

OK, I've not started reading yet and I've only had one mug of tea but I have sorted out a load of life admin and I'm currently cooking stew whilst the dogs sleep. So that's still a win.

Because I'm in my 40s and have ovaries. 🤪🤦♀️ Anyway... at least now I can have a glass and save the rest for next weekend... Rock and Roll. 🥳🤟

And this is Sally. Sally was only 10 when we had to have her pts 6 months ago. She had a mass in her stomach and she wasn't eating. They could've investigated the mass but to what end? So we followed vet's advice. It was devastating. She was a sweetheart. A first class diva and such a personality.

Polly is a small scruffy lurcher. We've only had her 4 months. The rescue reckon she's around 4. I'm not sure, maybe a bit younger. She's fab. Loves dogs, people, kids and life. She comes to work with me (just the one walk) and she enjoys the pub. Perfect.

Morning everyone! This, for anyone who hasn't met them yet, is Jez and Polly. Jez is a 13 year old rescued ex-racing greyhound. He's the reason I hate dog racing (& most animal 'sports'). We've had him nearly 10 years. He's old & tired, but content in his own quiet way. Especially now he has Polly.

Morning everyone! This, for anyone who hasn't met them yet, is Jez and Polly. Jez is a 13 year old rescued ex-racing greyhound. He's the reason I hate dog racing (& most animal 'sports'). We've had him nearly 10 years. He's old & tired, but content in his own quiet way. Especially now he has Polly.
