From what I understand FLAC & ALAC are supported in HLS, certainly a niche need (tv backhaul in my case).

Something like FLAC, ALAC, or even PCM. As far as I can tell the muxers for fMP4, HLS, DASH etc. won’t do it at the moment. Appreciate you asking. ❤️

I typically don’t enjoy shows (or games) that use what I like to call “supernatural trauma” as a plot device. ie. Lost, The Leftovers, Half-Life… but I do respect their productions and deep lore. We’ll see if I make it with this one.

The one software tool that did allow me to handle the clocking correctly (GStreamer), couldn't mux lossless audio into an ISOBMFF fMP4 stream very easily (the way FFmpeg and GPAC can). So it's time to just do it the right way, thus I picked up an SPG, and bridge for the PTPv1 network. :p
