My favorite comment on the FT story
Personally I'd be impressed if they could make something as smart as an ant. Ants only have 250,000 neurons, which is pretty small compared with GPT-5's reputed more than one trillion parameters. And yet ants are able to survive all by themselves in this complex world of ours, without endless infusions of investor capital or government subsidies. I don't think GPT-5 could do that.

Hitting the little heart feels good (and it still is a signal of support) but I totally vibe with this about how much more impactful a comment or repost feels to a creator.

Mind you, I still have qualms about how social media has reshaped our communication and hijacked our dopamine levels, so 🤷‍♂️.

I'm noticing that engagement has kindof been cratering, but favs haven't. People will fav a post but not comment or repost it, I've noticed this with others as well.
