If it's Customs and Border Protection in Charlotte, they are outside of their 100-mile radius from international waterways. Therefore, they have no legal jurisdiction. Advocacy groups should take note and file suit!

Thank you to everyone organizing in Charlotte. As we saw in Chicago, you can send them packing, and we know similar efforts are already underway in Charlotte. In Chicago, neighborhood groups held “Know Your Rights” trainings so residents understood what to do if ICE appeared.

i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”
basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

Today, thousands of people came out to events all across NYC—picking up and handing out materials to defend their neighborhoods from ICE. There were whistles kits & know your rights cards. Count the ways they’re corrupting DOJ: Presidents don’t direct AG’s to open criminal cases, especially ones designating only Dems for investigation when POTUS himself is involved. DOJ doesn’t publicize criminal investigations & the AG definitely doesn’t assign them on Twitter.
