I am always astonished at the noticeable temperature drop when I start onto the NCC path after walking on a city sidewalk. Urban greenspaces and streetside tree cover provide spaces for displaced wildlife and can reduce energy consumption. (Ottawa)

In 2024 I saw them in Ottawa at the NAC. The show was a step change in its delivery with beautiful and unique scenes displayed against the band and the wall behind them. This show included new members, instruments, and was admittedly less energetic but far more immersive. I love BADBADNOTGOOD. ✌️

The second time I saw them was at Fort York In Toronto in 2017. It was just days after the tragic fires in Fort McMurray. Charlotte Day Wilson performed a beautiful acapella cover of 'Love is a losing game' in honor of the town and its people. I think about it often.

Having been a BBNG fan since the SoundCloud days, it's so nice to see them referenced in the wild. Here is a shot from the first time I saw them in 2016. The energy at this show was fantastic. I never thought I'd be 'moshing' at a jazz show.
