Love this! My goal is similar, but applies mostly to poetry.
My current goal is to write a paragraph a day that is beautiful or horrifying or heartbreaking or whatever, that has positively nothing to do with the current political crisis.

It’s not much, but it’s something. Some part of me I do not sacrifice to the horrors, that I preserve for a better day.

I have a couple of poems about romantic love…with a twist. It only occurred to me now that this might be an appropriate season. I think it’s too late but wanted to tap into the collective wisdom here. Anyone looking for love poems that aren’t terribly sappy?

Look what I spotted! The elusive CNF hanging out here in issue 81! Yes, this is a sad attempt at a play on the title of this lovely little piece by @crystaltaylorsa.bsky.social Don't judge me & definitely don't judge "Spotted"! Not without reading it first!

I adore this.
“All this sadness carved in silver leaf
All this emptiness in pressed cotton sleeves
All these muted days that bleed to neon
All these familiar faces through rain-swept glass

All this laughter caught like light in prisms
All these young dreams worn thin at the edges”

I truly love this off-beat magazine. Wonderful editors, professional, great companion art. They promote their contributors. Four jalapeños. I’m lucky enough to have a piece in issue 81 of @rfpress.bsky.social www.roifaineantpress.com/post/spotted...

Yea! Super excited about my cnf coming out on Sunday! Thank you @rfpress.bsky.social editors!
As I age, I realize the glory of birdwatching. Here is a quirky CNF story about such activity as well as people watching and the assumtions we make towards our fellow man. It’s “Spotted” by @crystaltaylorsa.bsky.social from our 81st edition. Sunday 1/26!
