by my reading, he has the power to direct that result, no court in the United States can inquire into his motive, he is immune to criminal charges resulting from his exercise of that power, and any evidence resulting from his interaction with the DOJ is subject to absolute privilege.

Was always amazed how many non-lds & lds people we helped with everyday things when growing up. My bishop at the time was in a top position at one of these agencies. The hiring policy preferred Mormons due to the clean lifestyle for security reasons. They’ll learn why soon - I hope!
