I know the feeling! Hadn't seen a lot of snow in years after I moved to London from icy Finland. Very recently relocated to Scotland and this winter seems to be off to a good start. :)

Year-round sunny skies aren't bad either though, CA is beautiful and great for anything & everything outdoorsy!

Now we stop for a while if he tries to grab something, so that picking things up = boring time. Seems to work better!

(Aww, Crumpet is like that with snow too, we can't get him back inside 🥹 Hope to do a wintry Nordic tour with him one day, I'm from Finland originally but never travelled with him!)

Yeah I know the feeling, lots of dangerous stuff on the ground! 😭 We did so much training (rewarding him if he just walks past an acorn/stick without trying to pick it up) but in hindsight I think it mostly just made him fixate on the items on the ground even more...
