An new collaboration between the Fischer-Friedrich group at PoL @fischerfriedriclab.bsky.social, Anke Fuchs lab at the CRTD @crtd-tud.bsky.social and colleagues highlights that mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) may help tumors survive in new environments by avoiding attacks from immune cells!
Why do secondary #tumors go for #MET during the metastatic cascade? Our new study suggests that immune evasion—rather than faster proliferation—might give them the edge.
