Hi! I'm a brazillian animator, pixel artist and a game developer, using Game Maker to do cool stuff.

I would like to say that all base systems for Danger Zone: Mark are complete.
And now I enter PHASE 2 of development. Which includes coding specifics (like enemies, skills, items and upgrades) And overhauling visuals, effects and game juice in general.

The small things are the ones that count the most. I've made a spawn zone, so now enemies spawn automatically. I plan to create a visual cue to show where the enemy is spawning, but for now, it works preety well!

This week I did a ton. Fixed the Player animations, implemented the Skill Tree and THE SKILLS! There are:
- Health+: for more health
- Regen Shield: for a shield that regen overtime
- Adrenaline: for increased movement speed after being below 30% HP.

Added Credits, Skill Points (without a use for now) and cleaned up the UI a bit.
Also added a bit of optimazation, as enemies far away from the player won't render the Sprite Stacked Model, only a flat sprite.

Today, work was minor. I'm outside until tomorrow so I wasn't able to work much.

I added flickering after hits and invincibility frames.
In the backstage, I organized player's code inside it's own script, for organizational purposes.

Fixed some issues with the camera being jittery and not pitching correctly. Added shooting. And added a basic enemy model. Rough day.

I made some Stress Testing with the Sprite Stacking. FPS started dipping a lot aroud 200 sprite stacked entities, specially when changing camera perspective. So I'll keep the entities cap at around 100 to keep performance stable on lower end computers.

Progress of today, I readded the phaseable platforms, slopes are a bit stabler and I readded the dash.

New bugs include: 🐞
- Slopes kinda pull the player if they are dashing mid-air and then collide with it.

This week is combat week. ⚔

UPDATE!
Added being able to phase through platforms, fixed that surfing bug, jump buffering and coyote time.
NEW BUGS?
A minor animation bug when phasing through platforms, but that's all.
Anyway, gonna stay off for this week. Exams are coming, gotta hit the books.
