As someone who's been texting the Bill Clinton playing saxophone gif to his friends as a non-sequitur for years, it really feels like my entire life has been building to this moment

Look, you should be able to honk as much as you want, but I should be allowed to throw a water balloon at your car when you do.

Can you imagine being on vacation minding your own business and you notice Mike White at the next table scribbling furiously?

There's that Simpsons episode where they just drive Springfield to somewhere else and start over. Do we think that could work for LA?

Finally watched 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' this year and I suddenly understood everything about the two most pretentious guys from my middle/high school
So many tv shows and movies focus on characters' traumatic backstories, but the backstory that explains the personalities of half the guys I've ever met is just that they saw Scarface or The Big Lebowski in middle school.

I get that some folks are looking at the 2020 primary and the pundit class and going “well if I’m the most milquetoast centrist imaginable I can win the 2028 nomination” and I think they’re going to get steamrollered by someone who gets up there and says “what the fuck did you do to fight back”

It's a big missed opportunity that the movie 'Ad Astra' wasn't titled 'Brad Astra' as Brad Pitt was the star of the film. A more seasoned director like Ron Howard wouldn't have made this mistake

Lots of good answers in this thread but for my money, I think he'd be pounding the lid of his coffin screaming "Oi! Mate! Get me outta this bloody coffin!"

Ben Stiller is having the career that Tom Cruise would have had if he had never gotten in bed with scientology. Does this make sense?

Imagine starting a headline with "Dick Van Dyke" in the year of our lord 2024. News outlets have to stop playing with my heart
Dick Van Dyke is the focus of Coldplay’s latest music video, “All My Love.” In a clip, Van Dyke sings, dances barefoot and offers meditations on aging, family and love.

A shorter version of the video will be released Dec. 13 on Van Dyke’s 99th birthday.

We’ve had viable solutions for mobility both within & between cities for a long time, like high-speed rail, prioritized public transit and networks of protected bike-lanes. We need leadership. And we need to stop letting “shiny new tech” distract us from implementing them. Image via UrbanThoughts11
