The surge of AI slop, deceptive synthetic videos & images flooding our feeds, is driven in large part by Agentic AI Accounts (AAAs). aiforensics.org/work/agentic...

Key findings:
-Over 43,000 mostly AI-made posts generated 4.5 billion views
-More than 65% of accounts were created in early 2025

October 2025 was the warmest October on record for the #Arctic. Arctic sea-ice extent is currently the lowest on record for late November. My newest 'climate viz of the month' summarizes some of this latest data: zacklabe.com/climate-viz-...

The "Alt NOAA" account is currently spreading misinformation about weather alerts and claiming that cell phone alerts don't exist and you have to have a weather radio. Cell phone alerts absolutely do exist, check your settings to make sure you didn't turn them off.

I just added a new graphic to my climate indicators page. It shows monthly global mean temperatures from 1950 to present, with shading corresponding to the approximate state of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO). I hope it is useful.

Looking across each latitude band, nearly all areas averaged temperatures on the warmer side for the last three months combined. Unsurprisingly, some of these larger temperature departures were over the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere.
