I wanted a minimal form of a little generated world for the things in my game to happen in. Here's the first version! We can spawn scenes or place tiles, collision layers prevent unwanted overlaps, and a navigation agent draws in the roads! More to do but really exciting!

Been on huge tear creating, generating and fleshing out a world for my game to happen in. This part of the process has been a blast and I think it's adding a lot to the experience. Hope to post a demo soon!

Sometimes I talk to people that say they open no man's sky and can't do it because there's so much. You know, that's not a terrible place to be for a game that started with too little.

I wonder if I'll ever stop wanting to refactor basically everything in my game. I can never decide if I want to press forward knowing I've got architecture issues so I don't get bogged down or solve those problems early to speed things up later #gamedev #godot #godotengine

Figuring out how fast your health, attack speeds, etc should scale based on stats has me looking at graphs and doing way more math than I would like

Added a little telegraph for enemy attacks! Mostly I keep testing without audio and couldn't tell when the little guys were attacking. I think I'm gonna attach the amount of warning you get to a "Mind" stat, upgrade that and you get a hair longer to dodge

Is anyone using a #godot web export as a primary build? I really like the idea that I can just shoot out a link and BAM anyone with a screen and an input can try out my game but it's definitely some additional hassle

So I zoomed in the camera a bit and iterated on the hud. After playing with the combat for a while I felt like it was a little too much on screen at once, and the hud was a little boring. Which do you think is better? Version 1(bottom hud) or version 2(Sidebar hud)

I've also started implementing custom icons into my classes, and I can't go back! Not only does it spice up the editor, but it makes it evident you have scripts associated properly!
