Today is the Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to honor trans people killed because of who they are. The day began, in part, to honor Rita Hester, a Black trans woman murdered in 1998. @cristelaguerra.bsky.social spoke with her family back in 2020 for @wbur.org.

Boston is suing the Trump Administration as it tries to cancel billions of dollars in critical housing and homelessness grants, alongside cities and counties across the US.

They want to force us to comply with unrelated and unconstitutional Executive Orders, but Boston doesn’t back down.
