I think I figured out what the deal with this is Toriyama worked on the design of most of the vehicles so getting planes stolen and broken down is an opportunity to show off his designs. Personally Idrc if the shows indulgent on this front since this is the last DB project Toriyama had a hand in.
Or the repetiveness of planes either being stolen or breaking down.
The amount of vehicle hopping they've had to do is ridiculous. And it doesn't even feel like it's being played as a joke.
It all feels like a first draft. So many of these ideas needed to be consolidated and streamlined.
