1 comic panel will be shown per image. There are 4 panels/images total. Panel 1: Vivian is stood in her cottage, reading a piece of paper. She says “Okay, I’ve stocked some healthy food options, bought a hobby kit, and got a local gym membership. Only one thing left to do!” Panel 2: Vivian pulls out a red potion bottle and chugs it down with a big ~Glug!~ Panel 3: With a poof of red smoke, Vivian’s appearance has completely changed. Her hair is now long, red, and wavy, her eyes are green, and her eyeshadow is now red with newly appeared red lipstick. With a wink and smile she announces “Alright! New year, new me!” Panel 4: A text box in the top left of the screen reads “2 Days Later…” Vivian has reverted to her original appearance and is laid back in her chair with an open bag of chips on. I love this show” Galem is observing the scene from the foreground and thinks to himself “Well that didn’t last long.”

Anyway my Goals for 2026:

- Complete 1 big creative side project.
- 1 Story Arc for Mage x Witch
- Exercise (I really fell off the wagon in 2025)
- Improve my art style. Specifically I want to try & learn black & white/manga stuff. So like crosshatching and stuff.
- Actually play some Pokemon TCG

Damn I only stayed on Mage x Witch and didn't do any of the other stuff lmao. That said, I think it's because I was on that grind that I was spread too thin to commit to any other goals.

My comic is Mage x Witch! A short-form gag strip comic about the unlikely magical couple of Galem the Mage and Vivian the Witch. Lots of jokes about Potions & Spells with some touches of romance!

Mage x Witch - Cat Cleanup: A 4 Panel Comic Panel 1: Vivian is holding some tufts of black hair. She has a tired/whining expression: "Ugh, I keep finding Gloop's hair all over, I don't wanna clean it all up!" Galem looks excited: "I've been working on a spell for this!" Galem has his staff outstretched towards the viewer, the tip of the staff breaks through the panel. His eyes glow pink as pink energy coalesces towards his staff. He speaks an incantation: "Kai-Toh Toh-Ar Kai-Ko Toh-Ohn Kai-See Ar!" Glowing strands of cat air are suspended in the air, floating towards Galem's staff. Both Galem and Vivian look happy and excited. Galem: "It's working! All the cat hair in the house is being pulled to my staff!" Vivian: "My Hero!" Panel 4: Galem and Vivian look shocked/distraught as Gloop himself flies in from off-panel being pulled towards the staff (since he is, afterall, covered in his own hair). Mage x Witch - Heartfelt Gift ; A 4 Panel Comic Panel 1: Galem has his hands behind his back and is blushing. He says "Hey Vivian, I've got something for you!" Vivian looks back at him shocked that there's a surprise. Panel 2: Galem pulls out a bouquet of flowers, and Vivian gasps excitedly and blushes in response Panel 3: Vivian is admiring the bouquet, and blushing slightly. She says "Oh Galem! Thank you so much! They're Beautiful!" Panel 4: Vivian immediately turns around and dunks the the bouquet into her bubbling cauldron with a sploosh! She says "They're also the last reagent I needed for a potion I've been wanting to make! The Recipe calls for a Heartfelt Gift!" Galem has his eyes closed with a smile, in a defeated but not angry look as he thinks "I should have expected this...". (He's not upset as he's also visibly blushing, he thinks it's a bit funny) Mage x Witch - Midnight Flight, a 3 Panel Comic Panel 1: Three Witches are silhouetted against the light of the moon in the night's sky. Panel 2: Two witches, Lilac, and Gwinarra, are looking towards the third, Vivian, who is in the foreground. Lilac says: "Vivian, you know we have no problem with you dating a mage." Gwinarra adds: "Yeah, we like Galem" Panel 3: Lilac says: "But did you have to take him flying with us?" Galem is sitting comfortably with one leg crossed over the other in a magic flying chair. His head is resting on his hand and only the glint of his glasses can be seen, giving him a mysterious appearance, or at least an appearance of trying to look mysterious. Panel 1: It's Prismas Day (the Nodderth equivalent of Christmas) and Galem & Vivian, dressed in cozy holiday sweaters and outfits, are in Vivian's cottage, which has also been dolled-up and decorated for the season. Vivian his holding a pair of metal dowsing rods with gemstones in the handles, while Galem has holding a box under his arm. Galem Asks: "Father Prismus brought you a new set of magic dowsing rods? I didn't know you were interested in studying aether currents!" Vivian happily replies: "I'm not! They're for you, silly! I asked Father Prismus to give me an extra gift for you to make your Prismas even more special!" Panel 2: Galem replies: "You won't believe it, but I did the same thing for you!" He holds the black dress that was in the box out to Vivian for her to see. Vivian gasps and exclaims "That's the dress I've been eyeing!" Panel 3: Vivian blushes and leans into Galem eyes closed in exuberant contentment and says "To think that both of our days got to be extra special! What a wonderful surprise" Galem, staring off into space somewhat as he recalls something, replies "Oh it was a surprise alright..." Panel 4: Galem continues his statement: "...especially for my housemates" The scene depicts Galem opening the dress for the first time earlier in the day to check on what father Prismus had brought. He happily holds out the dress that was in the Prismas present explicitly addressed to him and exclaims "It's perfect!". Bree and Mar are to the side, wearing expressions of utter shock and bewilderment.

Damn, the monetization pushes on Neopets are getting crazy.

Panel 2: Sekrat takes on a coy expression, and puts a finger of his free hand to his lips as he interjects his threat with "...unless..." I’m still so mad that Mario Kart World didn’t get nominated for best soundtrack. The 10 hour OST of high quality arrangements was the only part of that game that actually made it seem anywhere near worth its premium price tag.
