Got invited to the Saudi premier of #thundrbolts last Wednesday.
I didn't have big expectations for the movie but still had it on my watch list. Turns out it's better than I was expecting! Delves into some dark topics (as dark as you can in a Marvel movie)

It breaks my heart watching how the very hobbies we love: comics, wrestling, video games, animation, fantasy, are being coopted and used to spread a narrative of hate, racism, homophobia, islamophobia and anti-Semitism and sexism
It's even worse when you see young people of color agreeing with them.

I’ve started taking steps to leave Twitter for good, deleting my tweets (15+ years worth) it took time for me to realize there is nothing left there.
The negativity and vile content was always part of the Twitter experience but the never ending sludge content and bot activity is what finally did..

The last 5 days have been like a vivid dream! I am hopeful but scared for Syria’s future… whatever the final outcome at least the prisoners are now free!

About a year ago, I was approached by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority under the Ministry of Culture to for their Emerging Writers Incubator. They wanted me as a “Literary Mentor/Editor” under the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre for one of the writers. The book is now published! (Arabic)

Since the bird app died a few years ago I haven’t felt compelled to post as much as I used to about the things I love… on top of it life hasn’t exactly been easy with work being a constant marathon day in and day out, I hope I can get my groove back in here.
