Not just a hero... YOUR HERO!

A fashion god just trying to make his way through this life, having fun and making things better. Cynically optimistic.
New blog post...

I'm checking seven economic indicators every year to see if I can get a picture of how the US is doing.

Economic markers- 2025 edition
A year ago, I set seven indicators of the state of the country.  My goal was to compare year to year for each of the parameters, to try and ...

Newhart- just a brilliant ending...
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

Dear @clevelandcavaliers.bsky.social . The city of Cleveland puts a huge burden on you. By the time your season starts, the Browns have already broken our spirit. We really need you to give us hope to get through the winter.

Are you all right? Should we call you a therapist?

A concerned fan

A thought: With LLMs and AIs, we not only have a technology where Isaac Asimov's "Three Law of Robotics" SHOULD apply, but one where they CAN be implemented.

Something seems very "off" with the Cavaliers right now, and I hope they can straighten it out for the players, the team, and the city
The NBA has fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $250,000 for violating player participation policy for not making Darius Garland available for a nationally televised game versus a non-national game.

One episode in, and I am hooked on "Death by Lightning" on Netflix. The assassination of James Garfield so early into his Presidency is one of the great unknown tragedies of US History.

I'm far more curious what vehicle would be used instead of a DeLorean...

... it has to be a Cybertruck, right?
I just want to say I am offended by the idea of a movie where people time-travel to 1995. That year just happened!

I love the NFL- parity all around. On any given week, any one of 30 NFL teams might win a game*

*note- please ignore if you are a fan of the New York Jets or Cleveland Browns

Discussion question: If they remade "Back to the Future" (2025 to 1995), what car would be used instead of a DeLorean?

Today's random thought: The Louvre heist...

... why bother?

It had to cost a fortune to pull off the heist. And the price of failure in terms of jail is enormous...

... for grabbing a bunch of jewels that you CANNOT convert into cash. </1>

The remaining MLB teams are two teams that have never won the World Series (Brewers and Mariners), one team that last won in 1993 (Blue Jays), and last year's winner (Dodgers). When in doubt, root for the fanbases that never celebrated a title win. Hoping for a Milwaukee/Seattle World Series.

The 2025 Cleveland Guardians made the playoffs while finishing last in the American League in Runs Scored per game. Has this ever happened before? Either leagues, runs scored or runs allowed per game?

Is it possible that @pablo.show has done the best job of reporting- not just in sports, but in any field- in years? Between Kawhi and the NFL Collusion, he's exposed two significant stories
