Waiting for companies I’ve supported to stand by the trans community and make all their toilets unisex. How about it, #marksandspencer? #tesco?

Did Baroness Transphobe exceed her brief on #r4today? In her intv, unequivocally said, ruling means trans women excluded from women’s sport, changing rooms, toilets. But later bulletins just say, they’ll examine the implications. #ehrc #TransRightsAreHumanRights

The Supreme Court sided with FWS.

But it didn’t hear from a single trans person.
This ruling sets a dangerous precedent and erases trans women from protections. It puts trans rights back 20 years.

I'm genuinely stunned. I spoke to KCs at three leading sets of chambers with deep specialisations in equalties law. Each of them told me that For Women Scotland's position was not even arguable.

Nottingham #teslatakedown was so successful we’re doing it again next week. Tesla showrooms, West Bridgford. 11.00 Saturday
We guessed how widely disliked Musk is - but the extent on the day surprised us. We’re repeating it next week

80 people at various times joined our #TeslaTakeDown protest in Nottingham in the UK.
Car honking (requested) was at times deafening.
We are in solidarity with our comrades in the US facing wild threats from Musk & Trump.

Absolutely cracking #teslatakedown in Nottingham today! At least 50 of us - such enthusiastic honking too! Looks like a lot of Nottinghammers #hateelon

The Greens, the LibDems, Plaid Cymru, all did better at the last election than ever.

They all have very good, progressive immigration policies.

Nobody has a clue what they are though. The media only GAF about anti-migrant politics.
surely the disillusionment comes in part from the media not covering Green or LibDem policy, but amplifying RW ideaology? A balanced media, focussed on facts would greatly help

As we see footage of the unspeakable torture camps that Syrians who came here have fled, it is a lesson.

A lesson that “smash the gangs” is not an answer to refugees.

It just isn’t an answer.
People need protection. People move. We always will. Our policies are designed to deny reality. #r4today

With Farage back on Question Time last night...

...here is your reminder that Farage was on BBCQT a record-breaking 35 times before he became an MP.

And, further, that the panellist selection on BBCQT has been heavily slanted to right-wing think tanks and commentators over the years.
An open letter to the BBC
Dr Russell Jackson, senior lecturer in communication and public relations at Sheffield Hallam University, writes to the BBC about Question Time

In a few hours time, Fiona Bruce will defend having Nigel Farage on #Bbcqt for the 38th time, by saying "He's an elected MP. We have to invite him"...

... as if Question Time's constant platforming of him for years, isn't part of the campaign that made him an MP. 😑
