And to be honest, I'd be worried that if we do get a surprise win, it just delays a change that we still need to make... And we all know what happened last time that happened!

To me, the benefit of doing it now is that it gives some time for a new system to bed in during a spell of games where we're not expecting to win.

Then hopefully we're good to go by the time we really do need to get some points again.

It feels like most of us know that changing the manager might not fix everything, but also that the status quo definitely isn't working.

When it's the only real option we have, wanting to throw the dice and try the change feels practical, rather than emotional.

Just my perspective though!

I do think there is a lot of emotion around the club, but most of the calls for a new manager actually don't feel emotional right now.

Maybe I'm just projecting, but after the last run of games, I think a lot of people seem resigned to relegation if nothing changes and just want to try something.

The next four games are effectively a chance for a new manager to set up a new system that's bedded in by the time we're playing the games where we need to get results again.

Anything except for taking Gudmundsson off and replacing him with Harrison, that is.

I really don't feel any glee at all saying that - just resignation.

After picking up so few points from one of the best runs of games we'll have all season (and looking clueless along the way), I just don't see a way we stay up as things stand.

I don't know if a new manager will solve things, but it seems obvious that the status quo won't, so why not try a change?

Absolutely ridiculous. This is not a night for football!

Yeah, I'll admid now that you were right!
November 9, 2025 at 4:39 PM
I'm exactly the same as you. A week ago I thought he still deserved a chance, but this is the game that flipped me.
November 9, 2025 at 4:27 PM
I think I'm just at the point where I see no way we stay up with the current set up and the one thing we can change is the manager, so why not try?!
November 9, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Bielsa took us to 9th last time with an arguably much worse squad.
November 9, 2025 at 4:10 PM
Yeah, a couple of games ago I wouldn't have agreed with you, but now we just need to fling something at a wall and hope it sticks.
November 9, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I don't know if it will work, but I'm not against it anymore. We have to change something to give ourselves a chance and now might be as good a time as any.

There's enough time to turn things around and an international break followed by a run of games where we won't be expected to get any points.

I dunno! It's so hard to fully know how it influences us. I love reading non-fiction and listen to a lot of new music.

I don't have a rich vision of what everything looks like, but still know the characters and the worlds in the same way as I know what an apple is without being able to picture it.

That's not Joe Rodon. It's not even a good impersonator.

That makes a lot of sense!

The main thing that made me sad about this was when I realized my partner can see our son's face in her mind, and I realized I can't do that. I'm reliant on photos.

The more negative part is that we're less able to carry people with us - that makes us more likely to put friends and family out of mind when they're not with us and it can make us seem like we don't care.

It explained a lot about the way I think and interact with the world. It's not bad, it's just different.
