Thanks Ellie. The book's inspired by my work with the History of Language Learning and Teaching Network, who very much take this long view approach. I think I'm going to see what happens if I write up what I really think... then let the reviewers do their worst!

Thanks. I didn't put it in both for time constraints (life) and because I was stressing about applicability, but I'll let you be the judge of the latter. I'm having too much fun thinking about the area, and it's had a major impact on my teaching.
