My New Year’s resolution for 2025 is to embrace the fact that I’m a pen-and-paper calendar person, no matter how hard I try to be an Outlook calendar person.

Someone shook my hand so firmly it caused the ring I was wearing to dig so deeply into the finger beside it that it actually drew blood. Men, y’all don’t need to shake hands this firmly. Frankly I’d prefer a limp handshake over drawing blood. 😅

It’s been almost three years since I’ve had W-2 income or employer-provided health insurance. Both of those things change in 26 days. I can hardly wait to be paid, taxed, and insured like a normal person living and working full-time in America again.

I was starting to worry that AI text scamming had all of a sudden become extremely sophisticated and human-like but turns out this was just a guy I went on exactly one (bad) date with 10 years ago. And they say women are the crazy ones!
