We're happy to get fact-checked by nonprofit leaders deep in the science of tracking the status of life below the water.

This is an "updated" photo thanks to @cresli-inc.bsky.social - featuring the critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whale (NARW).

Special day on the Viking Starship, 3 young humpback whales & around 100 Tamanend’s bottlenose dolphins and a slew of pelagic birds, a spinner shark, and another shark. BUT - We found another humpback whale with prop scars. Go to

Our 3rd trip of the 2025 season (7/2/2025) was the 1st time in a while that we didn’t find a baleen whale. It was a great trip nonetheless! ~300 Tamanend's bottlenose dolphins, and a variety of shearwater species, and Wilson's storm petrels. Join us! cresli.org/whalewatching

Photos from our inaugural 2025 whale watch/research trip. We found lots of pelagic birds, 75-100 Tamanend's bottlenose dolphins and a fin whale (~55'). A good way to start our 30th year. Unfortunately, we also found more balloons than we could pick up. Balloons are killers. DON'T BUY BALLOONS!

Encounter with a humpback whale in 2024 using a telephoto lens at 400 mm. We were completely still, engines "out of gear" & this whale swam next to us. Our 2025 whale watch/research season starts on 6/29/25. We follow all Whale SENSE and federal guidelines. Join us! cresli.org/whalewatching

The proposal includes deep cuts to NOAA, threatening ocean health, marine life, and coastal communities by gutting climate forecasting, fisheries and coastal management, and conservation of endangered species like the North Atlantic right whale.

Under the guise of a “National Energy Emergency,” the Department of Interior is illegally bypassing environmental laws to fast-track fossil fuel and mining projects on public lands and in federal waters.
No, We’re Not in an Emergency Energy Crisis
But Trump wasted no time trying to justify opening newly protected federal lands in Alaska to drilling.
