This is, oddly enough, one of my comfort movies. It ticks all the boxes for a horror movie without being pretentious.

Damar varnish, properly thinned and applied, makes an oil painting come alive.

The original canvas has to be cut and painted larger to allow for the fact that it will be stretched over a frame.

I'm glad I found this photo because I would like to reproduce this frame/support system again for some of my new paintings. The image is sharp enough to get the details of the construction.

I remember those shoes, tho. Why can I always remember the shoes I used to wear???
