So, I tried my hand at a Zenithal basecoat recently, but I messed up the white and ended up with that nasty, gritty texture.
I tried getting the models done and they looked vaguely passable, until I shaded them.
The fact the basecoat wasn't smooth meant the finish just looked grubby.

Had my first game of Horus Heresy 3.0 today. Turns out I built my army wrong as I'm not used to the new force org. Also, got T1 charged by a unit of Justaerin, which is exactly what you don't want.
Lost badly on points after not playing the objective. Still had fun though.
