In fact, there has never been an NYPD choir (until now). In The Pogues' video, the NYPD Pipes and Drums Band stood in; since they didn't know "Galway Bay", they sang the "Mickey Mouse March" instead.
Apparently, the boys of the NYPD Choir have never sung "Galway Bay" until now.
