Childless cat lady, reader, crafter (also crafty), board gamer, lover of live theater, retired teacher...
I like to stay home, pet the cats, watch my aquarium, feed the wild birds (and opossums), listen to music, and relax.
Saw it live this fall at Dallas Theater Center. It was laugh-out-loud funny and just degenerates to craziness by the end. Went into it not knowing much more than the basic premise (performers and crew rehearsing and performing a show-within-a-show), but was delighted by it!

I love Strange Days! Just rewatched it a month or two ago and it still rocks! Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett...just great! (Note - watched on Hulu, I think, but it's not on there now... So it may rotate back sometime.)

I've read most of your list! I'd try Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny and Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang by Kate Wilhelm. Oh, Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, too. And everything by Guy Gavriel Kay! 🪐📚

From waaaaay back - America "A Horse with No Name"

Although if you are going to ride a horse for nine days across the desert, couldn't you find time to give the horse a name? You just spent nine days calling it what? Horse? No Name? Seems kind of rude...

Alternatively you can try my method of just rarely/never using your oven. It stays so clean! 😉

Rene Descartes walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Can I get you a drink?" Descartes replies, "I think not." And poof! He wasn't!

(I know it isn't an artistic version, but I'm philosophical about it...)

In that case:

What do you call a mushroom who likes to go to parties? A fungi

What are Beethoven and Mozart doing now that they are dead? Decomposing

Do we mean actually understood by actual kids or just not dirty? In the latter category: Rene Descartes walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Can I get you a drink?" Descartes replies, "I think not." And poof! He wasn't!
