Childless cat lady, reader, crafter (also crafty), board gamer, lover of live theater, retired teacher...
I like to stay home, pet the cats, watch my aquarium, feed the wild birds (and opossums), listen to music, and relax.
I have one of these, too! They are the best! (Both the cats and the scratcher/toy/bed combo!)

Just saw Jekyll and Hyde at #LyricStage in Dallas. First of their shows I've been to in a few years and it did not disappoint! Now I need to get my ticket for their production of Guys and Dolls in August!

Saw Hadestown (touring) at Dallas Fair Park today - fabulous! Great cast, music, and an enthusiastic crowd! I highly recommend it! Also try the buffet at the Crystal Terrace before the show - delicious and a relaxing start to your outing! And getting there that early you end up with good parking!

Saw "Shane" today at Dallas Theater Center and thoroughly enjoyed it! Karen Zacarias' adaptation brought new layers to an old classic western. This is why I have season tickets: to see great shows I would have overlooked otherwise. Dallas Theater Center never disappoints! #TheaterBSKY

Just finished Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon and highly recommend it! Old woman stays behind when planet is evacuated and starts as a kind of survival story but morphs into first contact story. Just kept getting better and better.🪐📚

Can anyone help me identify this bird? My usual bird ID app couldn't figure it out... (Sorry for the poor quality nighttime photo. I never see this one during the day.) #birds #whatbirdisthis

Great egrets nesting in trees in the middle of Dallas. (Not a new photo, but one that's not in my backyard, for variety...) #addBirder

Love that book recs are so popular here! One of my new author discoveries this year was Sarah Pinsker. I've read 2 of her SF short story collections and greatly enjoyed them both. For me Lost Places slightly edged out Sooner or Later Everything Falls into the Sea
