Also, the 1960 video for the Gillian Hill version is fantastic.

Where did people watch music videos in 1960, anyway? There are so many from that era...

I usually do a little marathon of all the Buffy Halloween eps, but I forgot this year. Lol Maybe I'll throw one on when I get home...

Dude, I KNOW!!!

I was shocked when it came up in my photos today. Just cruising around with a rubber chicken, posing with rockets...

For a moment, I thought I had a chance to catch the noise in motion.

But unless the same bird lands on my fire escape every day, probably not. Little dude was tapping on the metal. Lol

Well, at least we're going slowly crazy together?? 😂

Seriously, I hope you find the source. It is so aggravating, the not knowing!

The curse of being a curious person.

If you ever do decide to get one and learn (which I highly encourage! It's easy to learn the basics and have fun with it!), just get a good guitar humidifier and keep it in the case. They regulate humidity well now and can make all the difference. They're still pretty hardy for instruments. 😀

In the immediate, it mostly just throws your tuning out of wack as it changes temps, and thus also the tension.

In the long run, it can cause cracking and other problems if too cold or warping if too hot. Very sensitive!

Excellent lessons in how materials are impacted by temp.

Yeah, with steel-stringed guitars, it can esp wreak some havoc since you have the stresses of the tight steel mixed with the stresses on the wood. First rule on the road, open the guitar cases right away in a venue so they can adjust to the temp.

True, we have been having some bonkers temp swings here, yesterday was hot, today is a crispy autumn day. Which might exacerbate such things even more as stuff grows and shrinks. Wood, metal... Everything in homes is very temp-sensitive!

I know this very tangibly because of how my guitar reacts. 😂

This is so weird. I've been having the same thing for the past week.

I'm starting to worry I'm cracking bc I cannot find a source even though we have an open kitchen/LR so I am usually in the room, even if not the kitchen part. But I never catch a thing. It only happens when I'm occupied.

Awwww, thanks!

I used to say I don't write love songs, but then I realized all my songs *are* love songs, just not necessarily about humans.

Used to say I'm not romantic, too, but my love of (esp space) exploration is romantic AF! Just not... In the way most people use the word.

Thank you, yeah, I've been trying to get that taken down but since I've been inactive for so long it's proving a challenge.

I thought I'd deleted the account... Big mistakes made.

Go you!! I have one year left! I never thought I'd be so excited to turn 50 so I could get a shot that isn't made of liquor. Lol I had chicken pox twice as a kid, so I'm basically terrified of my own body.

Woody was going to start his shingles series but they rec'd spacing the MMR and shingles.
