Random thought, but I'm still amazed from how appropriately-rated the original FFVII is. Like, you'd think playing it for the first time more than 20 years late would make the experience feel like it's a great game "for its time" or such. But no, it's actually just great, period.

I don't know why I expected the Society and the Dragon Knights storylines of GBF to be overrated, but I'm reading Second Advent right now and it's actually so cool. I haven't read much of Dragon Knights except for the recent rerun + new event feat. the new recruits, and that was great too

This happened to me in DMC 3. To be fair, I died to a locked door
nothing bruises my ego more than when a game asks me if I'd like to try again on a lower difficulty.
