The Trump administration should never have put Oregonians in a position of such uncertainty regarding their SNAP benefits in the first place, but I am proud of our community for continually taking swift action when our neighbors are under attack.

Federal employees aren’t just being disrespected by this ongoing shutdown – there are tangible, real-life consequences to the federal government’s inaction.

The President needs to tell his party to stop using working people as pawns and get back to work so that Oregonians can, too.
