Do the hard thing: admit the much more frightening truth that it's not you that's pathetic, it's society that's for continuing to prop up a dehumanizing winner-take-all system without proper guardrails and safety nets.

Is there anything he can do on this front that he hasn't already? I was under the impression the federal government did their part and remaining barriers are due to provinces' own restrictions. If so that would mean taking your argument to Legault, not Carney.
