We must stand up and speak out, not because something is left or right, but if it is right or wrong.

We need the best educated workforce in the world.

We need the best teachers in the world.

We need to pay our teachers fairly for the important work they do.

No teacher in America should begin at less than $60,000 a year.

Hands Off Pitman, NJ! Pitman has historically hated Trump. Every time he's been on the ballot, he's been the lowest vote-getter. Love my town 💪🏼💙

Yup. People don’t vote for parties. They vote for candidates they think will reduce their stress
Democrats can't just sit around talking about messaging strategy. They need to change their actual policies if they want to win.

This is an awesome move from the @pitmandems.bsky.social. Pitman really has an opportunity to continue it's progress under Democratic leadership.
We are so excited to announce Jason Blackmore is running for Pitman Council to continue serving the community he loves!

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

Trying something new. If you know me, you know that I often curate playlists to match a mood. With it being February, I wanted songs that had influences from jazz and funk, but with a little twist.

If the response on this is positive, I'll keep it up.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

My lesbian bestie has informed me that recently, when I had “some” champagne, I said to her, in a club, “Fish cooks too quickly. It freaks me out.,” & we’re both a little proud of me for bringing this to light.

On this episode, host Adrian Ma and his colleagues from NPR's The Indicator podcast look at that immigration crackdown during the 'Chinese Exclusion Era,' and the economic impact it had on the West.
The 'Chinese Exclusion Era' shows how Trump's mass deportation plan could unfold : Consider This from NPR
Donald Trump promises to deport millions of unauthorized immigrants once he returns to the White House. If he follows through, the scale of it would be unlike anything we've seen in our lifetimes. Many supporters of Trump's mass deportation agenda say expelling unauthorized immigrants will help the US economy. But a look back at America's first major immigration crackdown suggests otherwise. On this episode, host Adrian Ma and his colleagues from NPR's The Indicator podcast look at that immigration crackdown during the 'Chinese Exclusion Era,' and the economic impact it had on the West. For a deeper dive into the economic history of the Chinese Exclusion Era, check out the latest installments of Planet Money's newsletter. In Part One, NPR's Greg Rosalsky covers the economic circumstances that led to a populist anti-Chinese movement. In Part Two, he explains the ways (both legal and extralegal) that movement succeeded in driving Chinese immigrants away from the U.S. and the economic fallout that ensued. For sponsor-free episodes of Consider This, sign up for Consider This+ via Apple Podcasts or at plus.npr.org.Email us at considerthis@npr.org.
