All manner of nerdery and geekery. Gaming. TTRPGS. Dogs. Environment. History. Dubliner. Queer.

Trying to use more Irish - please feel free to correct me if I make mistakes!

Apparently I talk a lot about folk music.
The levels of absolute filth and depravity I witnessed up on stage in The Button Factory tonight was great.

Merchy Christmas is great. Support your favourite acts directly. Bankrupt your family buying vinyl. Maybe hear a song or two.

Will bribe cllrs to reduce the speed limit outside my house to 30km. Call me.
Now that the government has abandoned a plan to make city speed limits 30km/h by default, the Dublin City Council is returning to the slog of doing it bit by bit. At a meeting Wednesday, councillors and council managers expressed frustration with the long road ahead.

What do you mean, "bandwagon"? I have always been a strong supporter of the Republic of Ireland football team. Name two players? Easy. Robbie Keane and Packie Bonner.

Nice overview of what is in the new housing policy. Several significant shifts in rhetoric re: home ownership and homelessness.

See, the reason all the other housing plans failed was because we set targets. This plan will succeed, because we won't have targets.
“Why is there no annual targets in this plan?”

“Because we are focused on activation,” Minister for Housing James Browne says.

“We want to get away from yearly targets,” he adds.

Would be mad if the Epstein files don't take out Trump but do take out Starmer.

Hadn't appreciated before the similarities between the videos for Perfume Genius' On The Floor and RÓIS' Did You Ever Get the Ride at the Wake-house.

I read a book and enjoyed it! Finally! Huzzah!

It wasn't really "for me" in terms of the content (it's about journalism, mostly) but the satire is great, it's sharp and funny, and full of compellingly dislikable characters.

Lost a shirt yesterday - the cuff is decoupling from the arm.

I am facing into having to do a Big Clothes Shop.

Sigh.

Hate this for me.
My jacket is down to 0 working pockets. I have to accept that it's time for to buy a new one.

If there's one thing I hate, it's buying clothes.
