Life is probably/maybe more fun and vibrant and exciting but death will come with an ease that life just doesn't have. At least not here, not in this one, not in these systems. Everyone is chasing ease but this life has shown that that is the gift of death and I find some comfort knowing that comes

Even if you removed diversity from history...the history would still be history. Jackie Robinson, Tuskegee Airmen, the Enola Gay...would all still be important history. So should be pretty quick to deduce this is not actually about any of that.

I'm not sure which video to post--the fifteen paramedics in their last moments as one of them prays amid gunfire, the journalist being burned alive, the man holding a headless toddler, the people blown into the air, or the young man quietly rocking the shrouded body of a child.

It's a genocide.

Am I depressed because of what's happening or am I depressed because of the people who somehow didn't see it coming?

Both. It's both.

If someone is selling that they are liberation-centered in whatever services they offer, but they won't explicitly take a stance against a genocidal regime and apartheid state, or they want to be political in their brand...but their politics doesn't include explicit mention of where they stand on

Maybe it's the eclipse today in Aries stirring up this sadness (in addition to the obvious horrors of life) but this sense of heaviness and grief over the unfulfilled dreams and angst to get something done crept in last night. @chaninicholas.bsky.social readings for this weekend were not wrong.

For folks you haven't spoken up against genocides or fascism or ecocide or the poly crisis we find ourselves in-

You might be late to the party... but the important thing is you get to the party. Folks will be happy to see you at the party.

I will preface this by saying I hate musk- a sociopath, white supremacist, megalomaniac etc. But here is something going through my head-

Is he an idiot in business who was so blinded by the opportunity to gain more power or proximity to it that he literally burnt his bridge to his customer base of

In the longest impeachment process in Korea’s history (but expedited when compared to the U.S, which seems to never reach actual impeachment) with the final verdict from the Constitutional Court due sometime next week, Koreans protests are reaching epic heights. This weekend, MILLIONS showed up.

Story time- this feels suspect and nefarious. And to me looks like immigration is somehow in all of our tax software....

I use Turbo Tax and file jointly with my partner. Things usually just start off by having us confirm our basic info- names, socials, all that.

I click on mine and then...

Spring is springing! Sun is shining and it's beautiful out.

It's a great time to remove invasive plants and replace with natives.

Madness. Illegal madness.
This "immediate cancellation" violates the law. If the Admin thinks Columbia has violated Title VI by being deliberately indifferent to antisemitic harassment, it has to give Columbia a chance for a hearing first, make findings on the record, & wait 30 days.

I'm interested in the people whose hearts feel heavy when they see trash in our waters, our earth, our streets and stop to pick it up; in folks who notice someone struggling and stop to ask if they're okay or offer help; who stand up for their coworker when they're mistreated by the company;

No more.

Indigenous practices have always shown us that the way is to Move Slow and Repair Things. Plant, grow, replenish, reparations, regenerate.

Hi, just a reminder that when you use Libro.fm for your audiobooks, you support independent bookshops vs. large corporations that drive them out of business.

We also pay taxes. And so do indie bookshops.
