Even the schools are starting to be built in places that largely only serve one neighborhood. Take Bexley Elementary in LOL. It’s only really attended by students in Bexley and the directly neighboring subdivisions and students with parents who have the time and money to drive them across the county

Most of these amenities are largely built now to only really serve each individual subdivision. Sure, there’s hundreds of pools around here, but they’re only available to those who live in those subdivisions, which is inherently exclusionary.

This is fairly common in Europe and I, for one, would welcome that immediately.

It provides built-in grace for having to speed up to avoid a crash while also providing meaningful enforcement of speed limits. The only reason I end up speeding is that everyone else is. I would prefer enforced limits.

I agree, especially further south, maybe even past Lumsden considering there’s not even a shoulder. That would probably require some property acquisitions though 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Here it is, not a particularly good pic as I was in a hurry, but the point comes across. While the road is posted as 35, most people do 45-55. With those speeds, the armadillos and paint probably aren’t enough, but alas

they kinda stopped with the attempts at building safe networks. Ill add a pic of the Newley resurfaced 30th st when I’m down there later.

I think one of the biggest arguments for a good electrified rail network in pr is that they could provide the backbone of an upgraded electrical grid.
