Janitor Warlord. Guitar Professor. Our Rock Opera “The Disappearance of Vidalia Belle” is out now!
My ride. If there was anything more than just more horizon here you could see that it’s sort of a sfumato Xmas Eve.

(5/X) put her in charge of CBS News and she began censoring stories that were critical of Trump. The guy at the free speech organization said nothing, the guy who organized the Harper's letter said nothing, and her supporters at the Atlantic rallied around her.

I like it when Santa says “inculcate.”

I just spent 2 hours at my yearly humiliation.

I expect a lot of folks on this platform feel this way, but my attitude is that to deprive the world of the best of my writing and thoughts would be a great pity. But my brand of all-conquering confidence is far from universal and that’s going to be a stubborn part of the problem. Plus laziness.

Tom is also a little neurotic. Roosevelt helps to steady him and keep him calm.

Tom (left) is such a good boy that we got him a dog, Roosevelt (right).

I wonder if this person isn’t seeing hand wired prices and figuring he has one too.

I know his impulse control was probably never great to begin with. But it’s one of those dementia symptoms crowding its way onstage for the rest of us to see.

I remember reading Ray Davies being fed up with all of his work sounding like Kinks music, convened a completely new set of musicians and it sounded…like Kinks music. An epiphany!

Sounds like someone likes their little drinkie.

An amp that will survive you, your children, the sun. Will witness the full merger of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies

He was a Quaker too! Not an exemplary one tho.

I have found this to be thoroughly adaptable to our current political situation.

Ned’s Atomic Dustbin was a two bass band, I recall. And that Pinback guy plays counterpoint lines on his bass. So, he’s got a couple frequencies going.

Some clever person could make a Gilbert and Sullivan patter song out of all the gibberish names.

…and the Irish would be included in this same category.

This would be 💯 my great grand parents take.

Thank you for seeing what we see and saying what we’re thinking. It would be a dereliction of duty to be the Bulls and a mid-team that couldn’t get out of the 4-6 slot in the east. To be this putrid, year in year out. It’s gobsmaking.

Can a Modo headline be constructed with Night of the Living Baseheads? 🤔

Spo (or whatever historical dream-coach you can imagine) gets how many more wins out of this island of broken toys? 2 or 3?

To be clear, this opinion is unpopular with me, the opinion haver! I am fundamentally against the kind of scholasticism that sets aside special knowledge only for the elect. The very idea offends me. And yet the “creativity industry” seems to be filled to the brim with predatory scamsters.
December 10, 2025 at 6:36 PM
My unpopular opinion is it actually can’t be taught. You either got it or you ain’t.
December 10, 2025 at 6:27 PM
I have a sense of how I do it, but I can’t seem to teach it to anyone. I’ve taught guitar for 30 years and can watch someone play for 60 seconds and see into their very soul. But songwriting is so many skill threads at once. It’s literary, imaginative, a craft, an art.
