I’m at the airport and the screens are showing this massive apartment building fire in Hong Kong.

At least 36 people have been killed, 279 are missing.

Sending out prayers to them.
Just awful.

It's hard to express what it meant to watch Maurice, Natalia, Celeste, and Rhea tell their stories—in their own voices—this morning.

The segment revealed a brutal reality: homelessness at this scale isn't about personal failure. It's the result of policy choices and systems built to exploit people.

This right here!! All day and everyday. Preach, Pastor Chris!
Americans can debate immigration and economic policy. But for those of us who are part of the kingdom of God, let us never insinuate that cruel, dehumanizing, disdainful treatment of image bearers—inside or outside the womb, citizens or “illegal,” rich or poor—has anything to do with Jesus.

One problem with calling Noem "the most delicate, beautiful, tiny woman" is that was clearly not the vibe she was going for when she bragged in print about murdering her dog.
For the right, a white woman that sits atop a powerful agency ruthlessly deporting thousands is the “beautiful, delicate, tiny” victim.

People of color with opinions they don’t like, even elected officials, are the violent aggressors.
The "delicate, beautiful, tiny" fascism of Kristi Noem
The right thinks Noem is the victim of Sen. Padilla's assault. But what about Rep. McIver?

I'm afraid many are failing to recognize a resurgence of racial prejudice and injustice. As we're a visual/entertainment oriented society, I'm going to ask you to watch movies that depict the atmosphere of those times so you can recognize shades of the past in our present. 🧵

Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst told a constituent, who feared health care cuts would lead to mass death, that ‘We all are going to die.’ That’s prompted a formidable challenge to her re-election.

Unbelievable, POTUS is speaking without any real knowledge of his own and no evidence in the earliest stages of this tragic plane crash investigation and is trying to pre-blame DEI. This is disgraceful and disgusting.
If the press lets this slide they are complicit.

Just a thought on a Saturday morning. I wonder how many people who are so willing to take rights away from others they disagree with in a Civil society realize how many times “those” people contributed positively to or may have even saved their lives?
