Thank GOD I have two totally unbothered dogs on November 5th. Can't imagine how people with nervous dogs cope with fireworks night.

In London for the second time in 3 weeks. Everyone is so busy and FAST. I've been living rural for so long that the big city is quite overwhelming. Oh well, at least the people are hot.

Been trying to bake along with each week of Great British Bake Off this year, and now my kitchen has been totally ripped out to make way for a new one I'm missing my weekly bake. See citrus flapjacks, millionaire's shortbread and a chickpea madras plaited pastry. Alongside my lack of kitchen.
