So the government is effectively exercising the hecklers veto
New: Broadview, IL Mayor Katrina Thompson issued an executive order today - her first this year - limiting protest outside the Broadview ICE facility to between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The order cites "recent escalation of violence by ICE" at the facility as reason to restrict protest there.

This is really bad framing because it pretends all mine tailings contain equal concentrations of these metals with recoveries possible if only we made people do it.
Yeah, Li and Mn are especially common. The latter is also dirt cheap and proposing tailings recovery is ludicrous.

US mines are literally throwing away critical minerals

This is ridiculous. Shih tzu just doesn’t have the right texture for this technique.
I make shih tzu and bean soup every year after Christmas. Add a little vinegar and it's amazing.

We just moved my great-grandparents’ clock to my place from my mom’s. It was a fixture in my grandparents’ house when I was growing up. The same gentleman who has serviced it my entire life will be coming to reassemble it.
I’m happy to have it, but it feels a little strange.
