I spent a brief time one Summer with two red fox kits at a local cemetery. My zoom lens & I leaned against my car. The youngsters were engaging, but not tame. One of their den openings was less than 2 feet from the road edge! 🦊🌿

I remind myself that "days" are not pre-filled boxes of minutes and moments. My brain insists that we cycle through them one by one. My heart wants ascendency: nothing is decided ahead of time. Nudged maybe; occasionally shoved, even - but open, nonetheless, no matter what the calendar insists.
